UGHHHHHHHHHH i should be watching robots meander through life searching for purpose and meaning but NO. motherfuck. i went to the theater after work and asked the woman there if i could buy tickets and she said i had to come back before the movie. she said that it shouldn't sell out. well rick and i got there at like 11:20 and the line was around the block. and we didn't get in of course. UGH. i think i would have had to get there at like 10pm in order to get in. and worst of all, motherfucking _____ snake guy was there fucking taking his stupid ass photos. i fucking hate that motherfucker. go to hell you stupid useless piece of shit. ugh anyway, i'm so sad i didn't get in. i have been waiting for this movie for over a year and i didn't get in. ugh i should have waited in line for hours. UGH. why wouldn't they sell me a ticket? i want to kick that girl's ass for telling me it wouldn't sell out. UGHHHHHHH. i will drink heavily tomorrow at the wedding to forget this pain. ha! 06.29.2007
ah it's friday. lovely, lovely friday. the sun is shining and i was blasting justice in my car on the way to work. i fucking LOVE that album. might be my fave of the year thusfar. hard to say. i just really fucking love it so much. anyway, tomorrow is my boss' wedding and i'm so stoked. i love weddings because you get a reason to dress up and booze heavily. haha it's awesome. i got my legs waxed last night for the occasion and also because it's summer and hell, it's hot. i need to wear more shorts and skirts. and alex and i are going to philly next week where it will be downright unbearably hot i presume with humidity and all. so i can't be wearing jeans and shit. no no. i had dinner with andrew last night. always good to see him. he has someone living in his extra room which is good. i always thought that was a waste of space and money -- that extra room. but he's using it now. his friends' friend is living there. though andrew prefers to live alone. the hermit that he is. haha he's off on his worldly adventures again for like a month. japan for a week. korea for a week after. NYC for a few days. back to LA for a few days. SF for a wedding. then back to LA. then off to barcelona for his mom's 60th birthday shindig. so if we didn't have dinner now or next week, he wouldn't be back in town substantially until like the 2nd week of august!! so crazy huh? he got me some little toys from japan for my birthday but we never got to meet up then so he gave them to me now. i love toys! one toy is this little thing that you stick swords in and whoever makes the hello kitty pop up in the middle is the winner (or maybe loser. we can't read japanese....haha) tonight electroma is playing!! one night only. one special screening. i MUST see this. daft punk movie? umm yea, sign me up. it might be weird and make no sense, but i am far too intrigued (i have been eying this for over a year now) not to go see it. i just hope there isn't some huge line. i really don't want to be SOL on this one. 06.26.2007
so today is laurel's last day. a sad day indeed. we were partners in crime over here at the factory. 125%, maybe even 135%, of a person combined. our love of fashion and music knew no boundaries. even when we didn't always agree, we usually appreciated the other person's taste for whatever it may be. we both started working here on the same day and i'll never forget sitting in that sterile HR room filling out the same document over and over because the woman insisted it had to be 100% perfect. not so much as a stray mark or darkened letter could there be on that paper. i looked over at my future cohort, who at the time was merely a face, and wondered if she too was having the same problem as me. i found out later she was plagued by the same problem and perhaps this was a sign that we were going to be awesome coworkers and good friends. our birthdays are merely two days apart and there's probably no one else in this world who would ask to sync up online videos to the second with me so that we will laugh at the same jokes at the same time. laurel promises tears in the office on at least one or more faces. i think she's going to somehow slip us some onions when she says goodbye so that we will well up, but who's keeping track anyway? it's the end of an era over here at the factory. so so sad. :( 06.24.2007
so i finally got my eyes checked after experiencing eye strain and off and on headaches. i figured my eyes are probably getting worse from using the computer so much so i thought i should get them checked again. the last time i got them checked was like at least 7 or 8 years ago back in college when i got a pair of slight reading glasses. slight, in the sense that my left eye had plain clear plastic and my right eye had a slight perscription. i barely wore the glasses because over time i thought they weren't really helping. i could see fine. but now after using the computer for so many years, i felt i should get my eyes re-examined. so i went to lenscrafters up by the bev center. the doc was nice and after all the random tests she determined that my eyes really aren't that bad at all. i think she said 20/30. my right eye is much worse than my left eye in that my left eye is basically fine but my right eye isn't so it's dragging down my vision and causing me eye strain. she gave me a perscription for glasses for the computer and for just regular walking around/night driving. the regular ones have the left eye with just plain clear plastic yet again. but i opted not to get two pairs of glasses because 1) i don't have insurance and 2) i don't feel the need to wear glasses when i'm just walking around. i can see fine. it's just when i use the computer a lot i get eye strain. so i got a pair of glasses to wear when i use the computer and i am wearing them now! it's strange because i can see clearer but it's not like SUCH a drastic improvement that i notice great sweeping changes. but it's good. hopefully this will reduce my eye strain. luckily lenscrafters was running a special on lenses which are the most expensive part of a pair of glasses if you opt to get the good type of lenses that are lightweight and scratch resistent and anti-glare and all that, AND provided you don't get $500 chanel, prada, or bulgari frames that have rhinestones and shit. clearly i am not that type of person to get the blinged out frames so all in all my glasses were $305. not TOO bad considering they could have been more. i got these red DKNY plastic frames and i dig the way they look. they might be a bit too red but oh well. the frames i REALLY want are not sold at lenscrafters but at a boutique in LA and cost about $275 without the lenses. i just can't afford that. maybe when i get eye insurance the next time around with my health insurance i will be able to get those frames. but til then, these will do just fine. i went out and got a smaller case for them because the case they gave me was fucking huge. must be a universal case that can be used for big ass sunglasses cuz this box was like the size of a small purse i swear. anyway, other than that i also picked up the dress i was having made for myself. it looks super cute and the beauty of it all is it's very lightweight with low armholes and it's lose fitting due to the pleating and whatnot. so i can sweat like a pig under my arms and eat and not worry about a bulge. it's fucking brilliant! i was going to shop around for shoes but i think my brand new black round toe rocket dog pumps will do the trick. they are round toe so they look cute with the dress. that and i can't afford another pair of shoes. i just spent about $450 on my portfolio, $375 on my glasses/eye exam and i have to take my car into the shop soon cuz i hear a noise. and whenever you hear a noise, expect to spend at least $400 to fix it. UGH! i will take a photo of myself in the dress when i go to my boss' wedding this weekend and look all dolled up. which reminds me, i have to try messing around with my hair and makeup this week so that i know how i want it all to look come saturday. i will do that sometime this week in btwn leg waxing, eyebrow waxing, and the like. haha 06.21.2007
oops! i forgot to publish my last entry when i wrote it yesterday. it must have been the sheer excitement that made me forget. haha anyway i just found out that my favorite IT guy put in his 2 wks last friday!! he doesn't count in my headcount because he doesn't work in my dept but still. another one bites the dust! on another note. i have gotten great response to my portfolio from my friends and colleagues. now if only the ones with the money could see it. preferably people who have CD packaging gigs.... 06.20.2007
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! that's the cry of jen being so happy that a transformer blew at work and they don't have the right part so we get a free day off!!! it's also the cry of jen being so happy that her portfolio is done and it looks fucking GREAT! i should try and post photos later. right now i am grabbing some brunch with byron and then trying to get some errands and stuff done. calling people and whatnot. looking for glasses. lots of things that i can't do normally because i have to, you know, go to work. 06.17.2007
the brit's landed and my plan prevailed. a couple months ago james tipped me off to the long blondes show at the echo and being that i dig their music and dug their live show at reading fest, i was down to see them again for sure. so i promptly bought my ticket online so that i wouldn't be SOL waiting in line outside the damn venue like joe and i were for DFA1979. then about a few weeks ago my trusty iConcertCal informed me that the maccabees were opening for the noisettes at the troubadour. i was SOOOO excited because i fucking love the maccabees debut LP and i haven't seen them live yet. but then i realized that they were playing the SAME night as the long blondes. could it be done? could i really see two shows in one night? the answer is YES DAMNIT. i was going to at least try. now for those of you unaware of the LA geography, the troubadour and the echo are not really near each other. the troubadour is right on the border of beverly hills and west hollywood and the echo is in echo park. and those two parts of the city are about 8.5 miles away. in friday-night-LA-traffic-world, that's at least a 30 minute drive. so that had to factor into the logistics of this plan. the troub's website said the maccabees were going on at 9:15 and the echo's site said the long blondes show started at 9pm with 2 openers. so i figured that the maccabees would actually go on around 9:30 and probably be done with their set around 10:15 and that the long blondes would probably go on sometime around 11pm. so that would leave me roughly 45 min to drive and park in btwn. cutting it close, but not TOO bad. everyone i told that i was doing this thought i was crazy but i thought it was totally doable. not just because i wanted it to be doable, but because i swear to god i did something similar in brighton and it worked out. i went to like two clubs in one night. YES! i did! it just came to me. one of the last nights in town jason and i split the night btwn two clubs since our friends were at one awesome club but we also wanted to check out the last gay night at this other club and we totally rocked that shit and it worked. anyway, so i went to the troub alone. no one wanted to come with me and i didn't really care because i really wanted to see the maccabees that badly and i was only going to be alone for like an hour or so. i got there and lo and behold, one of the alan's from filter was there at the door. he gave me one of those passes to go to the special upstairs area and told me the band was up there and there were free drinks. usually i NEVER go up there because i don't care to bother but i was alone and free drinks are always good. so i went and saw the band but had nothing to say to them. i got a free corona and just sat down and watched the first band. they sucked. then the maccabees were up so i headed downstairs and waited. they came on and MAN they looked young. i had that moment in my head for a second where i thought "am i too old to be here?" but then i was like "fuck that. i like this music. i don't care if some of them look underage." underage or not, they were damn good. lots of energy and just really fun. i mean i love the album but i also know it's not brilliant music. it's just fun music. and i had fun watching them perform. as i suspected, they went on around 9:30 and i think they were done at like 10:05. so i bolted out the door and made a bee line for my car. i hit the road and got to the echo area around 10:50 where i took the first available parking spot i saw which was like a block and half away. i was in well before 11 and met up with amanda, james, and byron. turns out the long blondes were supposed to go on at 11:15 so i had plenty of time. once they went on they rocked the place. the lead singer is just so sexy on stage. i sort of wish i was a guy or a lesbo to appreciate her sexiness. i mean i see it, but it doesn't do anything for me. they sounded great, much like at reading fest. only at reading they were on a decent-sized stage outside. and the echo is really tiny. so it felt different watching them here. it felt boxed in almost. but still awesome nonetheless. i looked around me and saw a man that i saw at the maccabees show. he did the same thing as me. and when i entered the show the door man commented that a lot of people were wearing the other bracelet i had one (the troub one). as it were, when we left the show i heard others commenting on the maccabees show. so clearly i was not the ONLY person with this "crazy" plan to see both shows. and hell it worked out great. screw all you naysayers!! :P 06.15.2007
i've never been to topanga canyon before. in fact i didn't even know where it was. i figured it was "up there somewhere" meaning north of where i live. maybe somewhere near the valley or something. i just really never knew because i had no reason to know. but now having been there last night, i can safely say that once you start that 4 mil trek through the canyon off of PCH you step into the twilight zone. [please click to play the music as you read the rest of this entry]
it's really hard to explain how fucking strange my night was. you sort of had to be there. but let me try my best. basically i went there to see my friend cory before he moves up to berkeley today with his gf. i haven't seen cory in over a year and i've never met his gf but he's told her about me and told me about her. so i felt like i knew her but didn't. also zareh came along too. so we all convened with their friends at this mexican restaurant in topanga canyon. they were already there getting drunk when zareh and i showed up. we quickly met the crew and went outside to our big table which was situated on the outside patio next to the man with the keyboard named court. now this is one of those types of restaurants that has a full bar and "live entertainment" in the way of an old weirdo man who plays the keyboard and sings songs. i think you might be able to see where this is going. drunk people + keyboard and mic = weird ass times. but it's weirder than you can imagine. i mean first of all we are in the fucking middle of a canyon. gorgeous lush greens around us and hardly any homes in sight. as we sit down and wait to order, zareh and i suss out the situation. who should pass by but taylor, the drummer for the foo fighters. WHAT THE FUCK was he doing there? does he live over there?!?! he looked like he usually does, just scruffier. long beard and long hair. he was just chillin with his boys (why wasn't dave there?!! haha) having some beers. right away as we are sitting there cory is egging zareh on to play a song on the keyboard. but zareh doesn't know much because he is more a drums and guitar sort of guy. so he finally hops on and plays a distorted version of "fur elise" but halfway through stops because court (keyboard man) comes out. court doesn't mind that zareh's playing but he stops anyway. so as we are waiting for our food cory gets up to pee and this middle-aged balding man wearing tie dye and teva sandals by the name of matt whom we met when we first walked in, comes over to our (zareh and i) side of the table and snags cory's seat to have a chat. z and i ask how he knows cory and here is the convo we had: us: so how do you know cory and all of them? now remember, taylor from the foo is there too....just hanging around. so then court (keyboard man, for those who can't keep track) comes back and starts playing some tunes as our food comes. a weird looking and seemingly inebriated man is standing on the rail of the ramp near us yelling at court to play something with feeling. "get into it court. i want to see you fucking get into it." i swear the man looked like he was going to die if court didn't "get into it." but court just starts singing away some nonsensical song that i think he made up as he went along. no bother. i am eating my food and his music is just merely in the background (though he's situated RIGHT next to my seat). after half the meal is done, matt gets up and starts to sing with court because court plays a familiar tune (i can't recall but it was famous). matt knew the words and took the mic. and as it turns out, matt can sing. and taylor notices so he and his buddies come over to watch. taylor looking slightly smug as if yea this guy is decent but *i* am in the foo fighters. this is kids stuff in comparison. but i will watch anyway because *this* is my watering hole says "huh. he can actually sing in key. usually people get up and can't sing." you can tell taylor doesn't want to show that he's somewhat impressed, but he is. and so he watches for the full song. meanwhile matt is belting out the love song and directing it at the new apple of his eys, sharon. sharon being good friends with cory's gf. it becomes blatently obvious that matt has a thing for sharon. and as his grand finale chorus approaches, he kneels down next to sharon singing to her and she gives him a kiss on the lips! why sharon, why? you are only egging the man on! for the rest of the night matt is trying so hard to get into sharon's pants. and remember, this is the man that they just met that we just met who is also wearing TIE DYE and TEVA sandals!!! but he seems to go to this joint requently because he knows all the usuals. once matt sits down from his song, court gets back at it. nonsensical songs aplenty. then taylor's friend gives it a go at the keys. he clearly canNOT play the keyboard. but he tries and sings the most RIDICULOUS made up song. i mean he can't even sing well either. it was just a wreck. and then he plays some "asian" sounding bit for a second and makes some remark and then says "oh i better stop. i think i just offended some people." i wasn't offended per se, but it's somewhat similar to how i feel when bowie's "china girl" is playing. i really just hate that song. for so many reasons. anyway..... then zareh gets back on the keys and plays the other song he knows. i forget but it was something classical and famous. people aren't diggin it cuz it's too slow. so court gets back on the keys and plays some more. meanwhile a lovely girl named molly is standing on the ledge of the ramp rolling some cigarettes because she claims she has $3 to her name so she has to roll her smokes. she was cute in a weird hipster/hippie kind of way. then she comes down to sit at the table behind us. and then some more people show up. maybe her friends. they were young. and i think they were all high or something. one skinny white guy gets up and starts playing the keyboard. he starts to play "layla" but stops halfway and says "i just go too high. i don't remember the rest" (giggle giggle) then one of his friends hands him these hilarious plastic gold colored sunglasses with red lenses. he puts them on and one of the bartenders who is black comes out and says "we've been practicing for this. give me the mic." and they proceed to sing "ebony and ivory" which was HILARIOUS. and remember, white guy is high as hell. after that he can't handle it anymore. i think the pressure was too much and he was too high. so he hands the keys off to zareh along with the sunglasses (so now zareh has funny sunglasses AND his big ass corkscrew curly hair) and zareh then plays some random music while matt just starts scatting. you know, the garbled incoherent vocals that sound really funny because they aren't words. yea, he does some of that. and then he starts telling jokes. and remember, he's eyeing sharon so he's trying to impress her. then matt gets on the keys but doesn't know how to play then so he just hits random keys. he asks molly (cute hippie girl) if she would like to sing and he asks her what sort of songs she knows. they are going to do a duet. but she's YOUNG and she doesn't even know who stevie nicks is, let alone any songs. so they sing "white rabbit" except that no one plays the keys because no one knows how to for that one. then court gets back on and zareh hits the mic singing RANDOM ASS SHIT. like totally made up stuff. and then he proceeds to tell a mitch hedburg joke and some dude calls his ass out so he stops cuz he can't go through with it anymore. then cory starts singing some RANDOM ASS SHIT in this booming voice and his gf is yelling "deedles. sing softer." so then cory is singing softer but his words are things like "she doesn't fucking know..." or whatever. something profane but in a "soft" voice. seriously the ENTIRE time i'm sitting here SOBER and just laughing my ass off and how fucking random all of this is. i'm in the middle of a canyon watching drunk (and sober) people sing while some weirdo plays the keyboard. and taylor from the foo fighters is there. and the middle-aged balding man is trying to hit on the hip (not hipster), young lady. oh and did i forget to mention that a man who probably WAS homeless (looked like it for sure) got up and played some classical piece on the keys. i was like WHAT??? YOU know how to play the keyboard? damn! so all in all, a good and very WEIRD night. and after re-reading this entry i realize it does NOT do it justice. you just had to be there. words cannot quite describe how surreal the night was. oh well. 06.14.2007
sweepy sweepy sweepy. i didn't get enough sleep last night at all. this is due to: 1) waking up butt ass early (relatively) to go to the dentist where he was a half hour late no less 2) having to do work last night after i got home late 3) hanging out with dan for far longer than i expected. but don't take that to mean i am made at dan because i'm not. i love hanging out with dan. we talk far too much apparently and lose track of time. i didn't leave santa monica til probably midnight! i was supposed to go over there to see his new pad and give advice on couches and whatnot and that just turned into a long ass gabfest coupled with some good indian food for dinner and some coldstone's for desert. just lovely! i found out that he has a 06.12.2007
sooooooooooooo...... to keep us up to speed here. last week a girl got fired in the office. a girl who was new. so since she was hardly even worked here and was fired, i consider her 0.5 in regards to the number of people who are jumping ship. so we were up to 5.5 people in like 3 months. but now today we can add one more notch on that belt because laurel found a new job!! a most excellent (read in bill and ted voice) job at a surf/skate company we all know and (maybe) love. she'll be a photo assistent which is RIGHT up her alley so it's fantastic!! congrats to her. another one bites the dust. 06.11.2007
the battle with the printer never ends. well...battle sounds too harsh. cuz i like the man and all. it's just taking FOREVER. all these little things. sigh. soon enough it will be done. i can't wait to show people! so this weekend was fun and awkward. friday night alex, peter and i tried to see knocked up only to find it was sold out. BOO. so we didn't really do anything after that except hang out. then saturday i woke up early to participate in the garage sale that amanda was hosting at her house. we didn't sell too much shit but we made some money which was all communal anyway and it was fun just hanging out. amanda made cupcakes and put them in ice cream cones which didn't really change much about them but HELL they were good!!!! then later that night alex and i tried to go to the cemetary screening of harold and maude but we were too late. we had to pick up peter and then cynthia called wanting to go so we went to get her. and by the time we got there and parked (which was hellish) the line was SUPER long and cory and his crew and dan, amanda, and christine had already gone in! so we met up with zareh in line and i got to catch with him but it was useless cuz we didn't get into the cemetary. but that was ok because then my car still made a night of it. we went to hollywood to see knocked up and it wasn't sold out! so it was still a good night. the movie was funny. funnier than i expected from the preview. SMORSBORTION!!! fucking hilarious. yesterday was a day to go (back) to the gym, do some work, clean the stove, etc etc. just random ass shit. and so here i am. monday night. still dealing with printer shit. and alex is making me dinner -- salmon! my legs hurt like hell and i need to stretch out my entire body. woowee! 06.08.2007
you know what that is? that's piece of shit. that's how i feel at work. like a fucking piece of shit. anywayyyyyyyy....dan, jessica, and i went to the hipcooks cooking class last night. we learned how to make thai food dishes. it was quite fun! we had some good food and i totally want to make the spring rolls, chicken satay with peanut sauce, and the curries. i think the hardest part about these meals is finding the ingredients and chopping them up. the actual cooking process was quite easy. but some of the ingredients are so weird they will be harder to find. but i will do it damnit! cuz it was really simple and easy. i'm going to the printer tonight to see the cover. i hope it looks good. if so then it will get bound and be ready next week. how exciting. i can't wait to send one to my parents! i might even take photos of it to put on here if it turns out really well. 06.07.2007
ok so i got so caught up in looking at pretty business cards last night and figuring out if i should make my plastic, letterpress, or just regular looking that i totally forgot to blog about going to the printer and seeing that my prints turned out great!! thank the lord. the project is moving forward....i mean the prints look about as good as they can get off a digital press. so i'm happy with it all. i gave the man my other shit and we are on our way. although i haven't seen the printed cover yet which is key, so i'll be heading back to the printer again soon once the cover is done to ensure it looks fine. if so then it'll all get printed, cut, and bound. HALLELUJAH! we are on our way. i can't wait to show it to people. and i hope it will get me more freelance cd packaging gigs. i really hope!! anyway, on another note. alex found out that the kid from arrested development, michael cera, has this internet show with his best friend clark duke. it's simply called clark and michael and it's fucking HILARIOUS. they are going to do 10 episodes and they are on episode 3. each one runs about 8-12min and they are just FUCKING GREAT. seriously, any AD fans out there should watch this shit. cuz it's fucking awesome. i watched all 3 eps at work at the end of the day with laurel and were just cracking up so much. that kid is just awesome. i can't wait til next week when the next ep is released. finally, we have another installment of "jen's ridiculous and useless ability to remember faces." today i was at whole foods (since when did i become so bougie about food?) taking my sweet ass time getting shit cuz i couldn't figure out what i wanted and because i was chatting with rick all the while. i passed an aisle where another guy seemed to be doing the same thing as me. but his face looked familiar. so i caught another glance and thought for a second and realized that it was this guy who used to work at ralphs. well, sorta. i don't know if people recall a few years back when all the workers from all the big supermarket chains went on strike for like over a month. well at that time they had to hire temp workers to fill the spots and this dude (his name escapes me but hey, i have a memory for faces not necessarily the names attached to them! oh wait i think his name was paul...we'll go with that) was one of those temps. paul was a real chatty cathy sort of guy. i could never tell if he was trying to flirt with me or was just overly friendly. regardless, i recall him distinctly because i would have conversations with him while he would bag my 3 items and talk for far longer than he should have because clearly our transaction was over before our convo was. also what makes me remember him is because my friend kyle, from georgia, came out to visit me during this period and we went to ralphs one day and paul was our checker and he had a convo with kyle and i recall kyle thinking paul was hilarious. so he stuck out in my mind and thusly was filed into my useless database of faces. (WHY can't i have this sort of memory for more useful things that could further my career or something?!?!) so i recall one day a year or two back i saw paul at ralphs as a customer. he was down an aisle tonguing some chick. yes, full on making out in a supermarket aisle. wtf? and now today i saw him at whole foods. he's moved up in the world. but i guess i have too. he wasn't tonguing any chick but he did look overly "bro-ish" to me. i don't recall him looking like that but my memory isn't THAT good. so who the hell knows. anyway, yet another ridiculous moment of remembering a face. actually on friday i had another one of these moments though perhaps less ridiculous and useless. i went to this bar afterwork with my coworkers and i saw this guy working there that i had met before. like two times. he's cynthia's brother's friend, sal. and i totally remembered him though he didn't remember me. but i had a convo with him briefly and i felt that it wasn't so much of a random "i've seen that guy before" and more like "oh hey it's that guy i met before." but nevertheless, my face memory comes through once more. again i ask, WHY can't i harness this ability for something that will make me money?? haha 06.04.2007
oh motherfuck. ok so i was supposed to go to the printer tonight to check the proofs. but i just called and they haven't printed my shit. and the reason is because my files are not in one huge PDF. why why why didn't he tell me this sooner? i mean he called me to tell me the size of the spine. why didn't he mention that the files need to be all in one? i could have easily done this (it takes like 5 min) over the weekend. now i'm at work with no files and basically going to have to go home tonight, make the PDF and upload it which is going to take forever since the fucking file will undoubtedly be like 150mb or more. UGH. motherfuck. i hope to HIGH HELL that this shit prints well. cuz if not i'm going to be so pissed off at home time has been wasted on this fucking place. i'll just go back to my old printer who is now in el segundo and have it done there. they are really awesome just pricier and far for me to drive before work in the morning. but goddamnit i'll do it if i have to. i just want to get this show on the motherfucking road! 06.01.2007
i think i just found the place i'd like to go on my honeymoon whenever the hell i get married. haha seriously, is this not like one of the most beautiful islands/hotels ever? jesus christ. the W hotel in maldives...you have to take a 30 min seaplane ride to get out there. it's expensive as shit to stay at this hotel and expensive in general to stay in the maldives, but hells bells it's fucking gorgeous. look at that water!!! i stumbled upon this while looking at the top 134 hotels for 2007 by conde nast traveler mag and now i'm hooked. i looked it up and the maldives are off the coast of india so the perfect honeymoon would be to fly to the maldives and then fly to this hotel and stay there for 2 days and then hop over to india for like 2 weeks and trek around. my god that would be brilliant. i should start saving now. haha
